Pageantry and power: watch the King’s musicians and learn about historic Westminster

This tour takes you right to the centre of power. See Royal residences like Buckingham Palace and beautiful parks.

You’ll be watching pageantry in action – following the colourfully clad soldiers and musicians who perform the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony along The Mall. I know the best spots to watch all the action.

After the Guard Change:  continue with me to explore Westminster – with views of The Houses of Parliament and the iconic Big Ben.

Plus: 10 Downing Street where English Prime Ministers live and the symbolism of historic  Westminster Abbey, where monarchs are crowned.

I trained as a historian before becoming a BBC journalist – so I can fill you in on all the historical gossip of monarchs past and present!

Please note: The Changing of the Guard ceremony happens every Monday; Wednesday; Friday and Sunday – but is reliant on good weather. The full ceremony may be cancelled if it rains.

Start time for the walk is 10:00. Meet at the Duke of York steps, along The Mall.
